Product Description
When a standard gate height isn’t enough, the 1.5m frame gives you that extra coverage without overcomplicating the build. At 4.8m wide with a 300mm tail, it’s well suited to double-width driveways, wider commercial entries, and boundary gates where privacy or security is a consideration alongside the gate function.
The frame is fabricated from durable 3mm aluminium throughout. It’s lighter than steel and built to handle the elements without rusting or corroding. The 100×50mm bottom rail keeps things rigid at the base, and the 50×50mm top and side rails maintain structural integrity across the full width.
Supplied raw and uncoated, so it’s ready to clad with your choice of infill, whether that’s Colorbond sheeting, timber palings, aluminium battens or slats, decorative screens, and more. Once clad, paint or powder coat to suit the project.
The channel is already welded to the back of the top rail, so there’s no site modification needed, your sliding block hardware mounts straight in.
Fabricated to order at our workshop in Virginia, North Brisbane. Every frame is dispatched fully welded and ready to clad.

Installation Notes

Confirm your opening width, post setup, and intended infill material before ordering. All frames are made to order and cannot be returned once fabrication has commenced.
FAQ
What can I clad this frame with?
Most standard infill materials will work — Colorbond sheeting, timber palings, aluminium battens, decorative screens, and PVC fencing products. Cross-check the internal frame dimensions with your cladding supplier before ordering.
Can this frame be automated?
Yes. The channel welded to the back of the top rail is designed for a sliding block, which is compatible with most sliding gate automation systems. A hardware kit and motor are required separately.
What hardware do I need?
A sliding gate hardware kit — including roller wheels, guide rollers, and stoppers — is required to hang and operate the gate. Hardware kits are available separately in our store.
Can the frame be powder coated?
Yes. The frame is supplied raw (uncoated aluminium), which makes it straightforward to paint or powder coat once clad.
What post size is recommended?
A minimum 100×100mm post is commonly used for standard installations. Post size, footing depth, and fixing method should be confirmed by your installer based on your specific site — gate weight, wind exposure, automation, and soil conditions all factor in.
