Product Description
This aluminium sliding gate frame is built for projects that need a bit more height — at 1.4m tall and 4.8m wide with a 300mm tail, it suits double-width driveways, wider property entries, and sites where extra coverage is a priority without moving into pool or security fence territory. The heavier 100×50mm bottom rail keeps the base rigid, while the 50×50mm top and side rails hold structural strength without adding unnecessary weight.
The frame arrives raw and uncoated, so you can clad it with whatever infill suits the job — Colorbond sheeting, timber palings, aluminium battens or slats, decorative screens, and more. Once clad, it’s ready to paint or powder coat to match the rest of the project.
The channel is already welded to the back of the top rail, so your sliding block hardware drops straight in with no site modification required.
Every frame is fabricated to order at our workshop in Virginia, North Brisbane, and dispatched fully welded. No assembly on site, no rivets, no screws.

Installation Notes

FAQ
What can I clad this frame with?
The frame works with most standard infill materials including Colorbond sheeting, timber palings, aluminium battens, decorative screens, and PVC fencing products. Check the internal frame dimensions against your cladding supplier before ordering.
Can this frame be automated?
Yes. The channel welded to the back of the top rail is designed for a sliding block, which is compatible with most sliding gate automation systems. You’ll need to purchase a hardware kit and motor separately.
What hardware do I need?
You’ll need a sliding gate hardware kit — this includes the roller wheels, guide rollers, and stoppers needed to hang and run the gate. Hardware kits are available separately in our store.
Can the frame be powder coated?
Yes. Supplied raw (uncoated aluminium), the frame is ready to paint or powder coat once it’s been clad.
What post size is recommended?
A minimum 100×100mm post is commonly used for standard installations. Post size, footing, and fixing requirements should be confirmed by your installer or fencing contractor based on your site — gate size and weight, wind exposure, automation, soil conditions, and site layout all play a role.
